Let's face it. Crime rates everywhere are rising compared to many, many years ago. Criminals are also getting smarter and almost everyday we read about people being scammed in various aspects possible.

Let's remember that criminals are also people , so if they get smarter, so can we. We can never be too careful. We have to take the initiative to outsmart them.

Although it's difficult to distinguish the bad guys, but we can at least ascertain the ones that have a record. To be fair, not all criminals that have a record might be a bad guy or still is one, but it's fair for us to take precautionary measures.

It scares me that the number of sex crimes committed are on the rise. It makes me shudder that some of them are repeat offenders. How will we know when they will strike again?

I would definitely like to find out if a sex offender is living in my district. This is so that i can be more vigilant.

It's really sad when you hear accounts about young children being sexually abused. I was watching 'Miami ink' and on this episode, this guy came in to have a tattoo of his daughter that was raped and killed by burying her alive.

The guy that raped his young daughter was a convicted repeat sex offender. He was living just across the street and from his window, he could see the little girl's bedroom. He broke into the house one night and took the girl from her bedroom.

Could they have done something had they known that a convicted repeat sex offender was living in their district?

Maybe yes, maybe not; but that's an information every parent would like to know. That's an information that can help people to stay on their toes and look out for each other. The good news is that's an information we can find out for ourselves if we know where to research it.
